trueFIX Biologics was born from firsthand frustration — the products available weren’t performing. So Derek and Ward built their own. Every formula starts with one standard: real biological results, no harmful chemistry.
Derek and Ward didn’t start out as product developers. They started out as operators — people running real agricultural and livestock operations who needed biological solutions that actually held up in the field.
After years of being disappointed by products that promised biological performance but fell short, they decided to stop waiting for someone else to get it right. trueFIX Biologics was the result — a product line engineered from the ground up for real-world conditions.
Today, every trueFIX SKU carries that same standard: if it doesn’t work in the field, it doesn’t go to market.
Two 50/50 partners with a shared belief — biological products should perform as well as the chemistry they’re replacing.
Derek Lamons began his journey in the bio-agriculture industry in 2016, bringing with him a strong background rooted in the western forestry industry and hands-on field experience. From the beginning, Derek approached agriculture differently — challenging conventional thinking and pushing beyond outdated chemical-dependent practices.
While advancing through the ranks of a leading biostimulant manufacturer, he became known for pursuing breakthroughs that many in the industry were unwilling to explore. His work focused on exposing inefficiencies in common livestock and CAFO management practices while developing more effective biological solutions that delivered measurable results in real-world operations.
Driven by a passion for innovation and backed by years of field testing, Derek has dedicated his career to optimizing microbial performance far beyond the standards of traditional microbial manufacturers. Alongside his longtime friend and business partner, Ward Wright, he helped build TrueFix Biologics with a mission to redefine what biological agriculture can achieve — combining practical experience, regenerative principles, and science-driven innovation to create products that truly perform where it matters most: in the field
Ward Wright entered the agricultural industry with a strong commitment to improving the way modern farming operations approach soil health, livestock management, and long-term sustainability. With years of hands-on experience working directly with producers and agricultural systems, he developed a practical understanding of the everyday challenges faced in the field.
His early work focused on identifying inefficiencies within conventional agricultural practices and exploring more balanced, regenerative approaches that could produce stronger and more sustainable results.Over the years, Ward became recognized for his ability to bridge real-world agricultural experience with innovative biological solutions.
Rather than relying on outdated methods or short-term fixes, he concentrated on developing systems that support healthier soil function, improved nutrient utilization, and stronger operational performance. His field-driven mindset and commitment to measurable outcomes helped shape a forward-thinking approach centered around practical application, consistency, and long-term success for growers and operators alike.
